Could somebody please confirm that icicles mean thaw?
Snow on the roof turning mushy,
water forms in droplets,
runs down the tiles into the gutter.
The leaky gutter
drips
drops
which turn heavier and heavier with the frost of darkness,
forming icicles.
Logical?

Ojalá .
ReplyDeleteSorry...climate related and climate change issues mean never having to confirm the logical...no comment.
ReplyDeleteIt means thawing. Sadly, it takes them some time to carry on to the end.
ReplyDeleteI don't know the answer, but they're very pretty.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and words to match...and of course the melting snow was attacked by sub-zero gremlins who needed ice lances to fight Winter!! lol :)
ReplyDeleteSun heating part of the roof. I'd love a real thaw, but all I get are icicles.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen icicles hanging off a roof since I was a kid. I guess the cold just doesn't stick around long enough anymore to make them.
