No Words Necessary

LATE EDITION. Okay - so words ARE needed. For non-Brits, an explanation may be found in the comments below..

  1. Remember, people, my proper name is Penelope...But I don't know anybody called Fred!

  2. Reminds me of an old Charlie Drake song, when he attempts the splits. Obviously in some discomfort, he concedes, "'alf tonight, and 'alf tomorrow night."

  3. That sounds like a plan, Martin! :)

  5. Golly, Jinksy. We know you are a pen-elope. Now you're want us to believe you're an ant-elope as well!

  6. Stephen Hayes - and anyone else puzzled by this cartoon...
'Strictly Come Dancing' is an English TV show. Each series a group of well known people learn to be ballroom dancers. They are partnered by professionals, and have to master a new dance each week, which is not as easy at it sounds! On Saturday evenings they perform live on TV, and four judges award marks, before the public vote on who to eliminate.
Sir Bruce Forsyth compares, in his inimitable fashion.
    Now you know...LOL

  8. Dear Jinksy: Is it similar to Dancing With The Stars (USA and Canadian version) or more like Benny Hill or Monty Python? One of the British Humour mixed with Ballroom dancing! Love the cartoon as I can jive now! Have to check youtube for this one! Thanks!

  9. Chiccoreal - Strictly come dancing is definitely NOTHING like Monty Python, or Benny Hill! See my reply to Stephen Hayes above. I think the programmes you mentioned were offshoots from our original, English 'Strictly' show.
