Why not Frances? I'll send a snowflake to the one I like best! And I kid you not...There'll be a picture of the kind of snowflake I mean, later, on Napple Notes...
Head warm? Check. Neck warm? Check. Hands and feet warm? Check and check. Alrighty then! Let's head outdoors naked with nothing but these buttons on our bellies!
Hehehe! Keep 'em coming folks! I've decided to award a snowflake to each and every one of you clever bloggers who leave a fun caption in the next week, providing you email me with your name and snail mail address.:)You have until 14th December!!!
I would love to have one of your snowflakes, but I cannot for the life of me come up with a satisfactory caption. Except maybe, "Hey, here comes Frosty the Big Bum!"
I must say I do not understand the original caption about Scotland or why it is funny. Must be a UK thing.
Isn't Scotland, Jinksy. Can't be. In Scotland the snowfolk wear tam'o'shanters and kilts. And the countryside, neck deep in drifts that last through to May or June, resounds to the wail o' the pibroch . . . no place for Sassenachs.
Doc- if I could crochet a pibroch, I'd do one just for you as a thank you for that information. Hehehe! Count yourself lucky, some things are beyond even the Jinksy's nimble fingers!! :o)
Jinksy........ I was so thrilled to receive a snowflake today. Many, many thanks. I was hoping you had a pattern! Now I will have to try & fathom out how to crochet one! Maggie X!
Maggie - I could probably write one down, with a bit of effort, but it's pretty easy to follow without one? Six stitches in the centre: trebles go in threes: chain loops are worked with either 3,5,7,9 stitches, and 24 chain join with a slip stitch to form the hanger on any one of the six points... I sort of let them grow under my fingers... Good luck, but let me know if you have problems!
Perhaps any Fridge Soupers who take a look, would like to add their own caption as a comment? LOL ♥
ReplyDeleteAnd to think I've always that of Scots as a "warm" people.
